I am a psychodynamic child, adolescent and family therapist working with children, young people and their parents in the NHS, schools and private practice.
I am interested in the links between mind and body and the therapeutic benefits of breath work, meditation, compassion and yoga.

MY WORK

‘Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.’ James A. Baldwin

I offer my skills and knowledge to children, young people and their families when they are experiencing difficulty. This can take place in a private practice or with the NHS and in schools. I treat a range of problems such as anxiety, depression, family relationship difficulties, divorce, attachment difficulties, hyperactivity, exam pressure, poor self-image, school issues, drugs and peer relationships. I help parents build a more connected and attuned relationship with their child and everyone in the family.

Although primarily rooted in psychodynamic ‘talking’ psychotherapy, where appropriate I also use mindfulness, therapeutic yoga, compassion exercises and breath training in a whole body/mind approach. This can help build a tool kit for long-term recovery.
